Our trainees

We look for more than academic achievement in our trainees. The best teachers have the ability to engage, empathise and inspire. If you feel your enthusiasm, passion, patience and resilience enables you to get the most from those around you, and you strive for excellence, we’d love to hear from you.

Celebrations were held in the RSA Hub during lunchtime at the end of a very successful year for our trainee teachers. Students started with us in September and have worked hard in classrooms and at University (@uow_teaching) to pass their PGCE and be awarded Qualified Teacher status. They have been supported throughout by subject mentors who have guided them through the many aspects of Secondary school teaching. Students ranged from University leavers to career changers and all have enjoyed their time, although will admit it's tough but rewarding. Several will be continuing to work as teachers in Swanmore from September and we look forward to continuing to share their learning journey. We went on to have a lovely evening celebrating the end of the course for the class of 2025. Well done to all of them for successfully completing their teacher training! #RSATraineeTeachers #TeacherTraining #QualifiedTeachers #FutureEducators #RuralSchoolsAlliance #NewTeachers #EducationExcellence #uow_teaching
